I know I know. I'm watching the trees bend over and the wind blow sideways. Based on the latest radar it's making landfall right where I live. But everthing that can be battened is being battened. The fortunate part is that we are on the same power grid as the hospital so if we lose power we're usually back on within a few hours.Quote:

All the luck in the world your way. It's been raining heavy for a couple of hours now. Had a tree in the backyard that was dead and the top of it has come off and landed in the yard. The wind is awesome around here right now. They say it should all be over in a couple of hours. I'm hoping to get out with the camera after it blows by. Surely there will be some shots to get!Quote:

The worst is over now and it is starting to brighten up a bit. I'm in Dartmouth and while the power flickered a few times it never went off for more than a minute. Once things settle down a bit more I will go out to see what the coast looks like maybe down to the Passage.
Pretty tame on the other side of the harbour now as well. Sky is getting bright. I'd like to head out but not sure where to go.

well it's done and very little damage done. I am hoping to get out later as well.
