I choose Nikon for a couple of reasons. First all my hunting optics have been/are Nikon and have never let me down in the harshest of conditions. Secondly, a friend of mine shoots Nikon and and therefore can guide me as I get into uncharted waters... Oh and he has some great big lens I can now borrow...LOL
My first digital was a Canon Xti Sooo I ma locked into the lenses.
Xti to a 40D then got a 30D as back up..Sold it and got a T2i..Bought an XT cause I got a great deal. Now I latched onto a 7D. LOTS of love for the 7d:)
Canon. Way back in the 70's when I got my film camera Canon FTb, my sister's next door neighbor worked for Canon so it was an obvious choice at that time. After a couple decades of picture taking hiatus, I decided to take up photograply again. Because I had Canon before I went with them again. If I starting over today, I would probably consider Nikon as I believe they currently have the edge over Canon in high ISO, auto focus and flash system.
