Where dis boy been?
Well it wasn't to London to visit the queen. Wasn't bad enough that work was and is crazy busy, I had to get all distracted. It all started when I bought a Toto video and watched Simon Philips drumming. "I gotta give that a shot" thought I. Trouble is that owning a drum kit in a three floor wooden walk up is not going to play out well with the neighbors. Enter the Yamaha DTX450k electronic kit. I went to Long & McQuade, checked it out and bought it. Three weeks later, I'm just sort of getting a feel for it. So yes I'm distracted and what time time I do get to myself seems to go into practice. I just want to get fair at the thing and right now I'm kinda like Animal in the Muppet's. Gingerly, I thought I'd share how bad I actually am but Damn it just give me six months:laughing:

Long way to go but getting there is half the fun. I actually play reasonable on a Friday night after a few beer and a wee puff...At least that's the way it seems  If you're into percussion Marko then I highly recommend this kit, You'll love it. Play your favorite tune into it from your ipod, slap on some headphones and let it all out
ETA: Beware...While wearing headphones and drumming, those around you can't hear the actual sounds the kit makes. To them it will sound like fifty drunken rats wearing clogs...
