It's snowing again :wall-an:
After you graduate and enter into the real world, you realize how much fun it is to actually learn, in a formalized setting. I would be a lifetime student if it paid the bills. I could listen to people talk about what they know all day.
Not sure how the weather is at your school up there. The climate here is a little warmer. Our campus is pretty spread out and there is a fairly large commons area. I used a telephoto lens to get people in their daily routine as a student. I ended up deleting most of it since I was fluent with the camera. Its easy to get over the "creeper" stereotype after a minute or two. Using a telephoto lens helps to distance yourself from the subject so they do not realize you are there. Makes the image much more natural as well.
"Telephoto Lens"
=( If I had dSLR....
How could I forget? Maybe you should treat yourself for all the hard work of those exams........
Sigh, I just got informed that that money needs to go towards tuition...Looks like the camera is on hold indefinitely =(
Id buy you a camera if I won the lottery! :-)
Aw, thanks JJ! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-hug001.gif LOL, if I won the lottery I'd probably buy everyone I knew a camera =D
Sheesh...is it ever gonna stop? It's friggin' cold out there (just got in from walking the muttski) and the wind is like ice!
I mean...c'mon already! it's the 3rd week of April! :wall-an: :wall-an: :wall-an:
Funny thing is I'm pastry cheffing at a golf course right now with no clubhouse (renovating) so we are working out of a big white barely heated tent and cooking in a teeny Atco trailer...yesterday was opening day!
All the staff are wearing jackets! :D
its supposed to be 80F here Friday here in Ohio!
Casil forgot to mention that we have about two inches of snow again as well.
Casil, remember going out to the Polo Club? Talk about primitive. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y29...milies/bcd.gif
It's just really windy here in Edmonton. There's a lot of thunder at night but no rain....And no snow!
Snows going fast here..getting limited to the big piles from the plows and in the woods. Won't be long now and softball with be on!! Yay!
I'm super hungry =( I was spose to meet my friends for lunch after they finished their exams, but I slept in. Lol. I'm allowed to now! =D
Yeah...this is a lot better than the Polo Club...notice how when thePL club FINALLY got a clubhouse and kitchen (even then pretty bare bones) they didn't need us anymore? Fine by me....I really disliked going out there as I'm sure you did too.
Remember when too we were out at the Cross ranch? And a certain Sous chef threw out all the leftovers rather than feed the staff?
Hey Raiven....he's coming Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! :wall-an: :headslap: :cry-an:
Lol, so I hear! Speaking of the Cross Ranch it is a peice of heaven on earth. It is gorgeous down in that valley and the night we were there to do the wedding they had a sunset you could not have ordered it was so gorgeous.
Well – speaking about snow: Should I mention, that we don’t have anymore here ;-)?
We have now the second sunny week (round about 16-20°C). Only at night it is nearly freezing again.
I can watch my plants growing in the garden – and my new zealand clematis is already blooming. :1st:
I put a bid on the house! Along with another couple so hopefully we find out soon!
Also got the okay from the city to use our hockey arena for ball hockey this summer..now to get that started. Depending on how things work out..may be a busy summer for this gal. But good busy ;)
On a house in Edmonton, kat?
I'm super hungry. Thinking of going down to the "lake" this afternoon. We'll see how the weather holds up.
ETA: Does anyone feel like the forum has slowed down a bit? Maybe it's just me now that I have time to be on it all the time :P Lol.
Nah. Here in Ontario.
Just read this and thought..ahh..someone might get a laugh out of it..
A Newfie was proudly showing off his new apartment to a couple of his friends late one night.
He led the way to his bedroom where there was a big brass gong and a mallet.
'What's with that big brass gong?' one of the guests asked.
'It's not a gong. It's a talking clock,' the Newfie replied.
'A talking clock? Seriously?' asked his astonished friend.
'Yup' replied the Newfie.
'How's it work?' the friend asked, squinting at it.
'Watch' the Newfie replied. He picked up the mallet, gave the gong an ear-shattering pound,
and stepped back. The three stood looking at one another for a moment.
Suddenly, someone on the other side of the wall screamed, 'You a$$hole!
It's three-fifteen in the morning!'
^^ I lol'd... Good one.
Edit... I read it again... I lol even louder. People at work wondering what's so funny...
I've heard/read that joke so many times, but it makes me chuckle every time.
I wish, I would have a gong. I am waiting for breakfast since 2 hours - only my Thomas is still sleeping :yell:.
I want breakfast too. Some waffles (with maply syrup and butter, of course) and eggs would be nice =)
IT'S SNOWING!!!!
:headslap::wall-an::yell::mad:

Okay..what other nerd wants to see the new Star Trek movie??? I am half tempted to leave the kids with their auntie and go to the city for the night for a movie date! I am soo excited for this movie..it loooooks sooo good! NERD :)
I saw some TV-promotion on TV. But I’ll wait for the first critics before I decide wether I want to watch the new Star Trek movie or not.
And we NEED rain – my garden is yearning for water! Also my head – there are thousands little hammer in my head http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-sad012.gif. I am a normal North-German and need my part of rainy weather http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-sad058.gif!
Sorry Kat...I'm not a Star Trek gal....My Mum sure was though...I remember being subjected to the episodes when I was little. :headslap:
I think she had the hots for Captain Kirk! :o
Altough if anyone wants to rent a good DVD this weekend, I highly recommend "The Wrestler" with Mickey Rourke...we saw it in the theatre and IMO it was pretty awesome!
Yah. I watched that over the weekend too. It was a pretty good show.
I'm not a Star Trek person but this looks like I may become one :P
One more quirky movie to rent...I loved this movie and highly recommend it!
"Lars and the Real Girl"
"My fiancé and I booked a twin-bedded room but we were placed in a double-bedded room. We now hold you responsible for the fact that I find myself pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked."

I like this one...
"A tourist at a top African game lodge overlooking a waterhole, who spotted a visibly aroused elephant, complained that the sight of this rampant beast ruined his honeymoon by making him feel "inadequate".
