Nah Kat...move to Alberta. We got waterfalls and mountains and prairies. Maybe not quite as colourful birds as Down Under, but hey ya can't have it all! If we want photos of the birds MA's got, the pet store is really close by...lol.
I'm planning on a trip to Takkakaw falls this summer...Largest waterfall in Canada and about a 3 hour drive from here.

Heights scare me big time...height and snakes are my 2 biggest fears. I get vertigo if I'm on the edge of something looking down! I have trouble walking though long grass because I just know I'll see a snake. Pet snakes are okay, but the ones slithering on the ground freak the daylights out of me!!!!
I saw a snake nest with hundreds of the things slithering around in a huge pile once when I was little and since then I just can't handle the thought of them! :eek:
Yah..they aren't top of my list either. I can't even go up a ladder without having a panic attack. You should see me in a Ferris Wheel. My husband and I went up in a tiny one last year and I started to cry because he was moving..lol. Needless to say, I didn't get one photo up there!

JJ, befriending the prof is a good idea. I find it hard though when it's a class of 300-400 kids. I'm "friends" with me English Prof (she says she finds my antics very entertaining, lol) but chem and bio? Nope. =(
I don't think it would help me much...their TAs mark the exams (the written portion). I'm definitely thinking about befriending a few next year though, for future references to professional programs and schools. We'll see.

Corner Gas ended? Really? Wow, I'm surprised.
Always avoided the classes with any more than 300(Chem and Bio were 300+ size classes as well). Once I realized how hard it was to get any kind of feedback or conversation with the instructor, they were never above 50. Im not one to listen to mic'd up lecture either.Quote:

My Profs this semester are pretty good about feedback and stuff. My chem one even posts on the discussion forum for his course to answer questions and help us out (he was on until 12 30am last night answering things!). But it's hard getting to know them on a one-to-one basis. The only small class I have is English with 40 students, and that's the Prof I befriended :)Quote:
