I love the Calgary Folkfest! I try to attend all four days if I can. I thought that I would put this in the off topic section in case any other Calgarians or tarpies would like to add to it.

Looks like it was a fun event. I especially like the guitare players in post 1 and the close up of the vendor in post 2.

Great shots! I wish i knew you where there. My GF was volunteering in the beer tent = discount!! Was there with some friends on Thur. drinking 'till they closed 'er down and again on Sat. and Sun. only less drinking on those days (GF wasn't working ;))

Ha! Ha! I am not really a beer tent person. I confess I am a tarpie! I was a little disappointed that Michael Franti could not attend (ruptured appendix) but there were a lot of great acts. Lee Harvey Osmond, Arrested Development, The Decembrists, Alejandro Escoveda, Justin Rutledge, Iron and Wine and Gomez were the highlights for me.

Yea Thursday was a bit of a gongshow, but how could i resist? We spent most of Sat afternoon at the Broken City stage as the tent provided some shade. We saw a lot of burnt people. The whole thing was a blast just like last year. Always well organized and well attended.
