LoL..... this conversation reminds me when I started running.
About 8 years ago, I decided to train for a 10k so I joined a learn to run group for support and camaraderie. Learning to run involves walk and run times starting with more walking than running and as the weeks progress the run time increases and walk time decreases. Well, I did some reading and came across all sorts of thoughts and opinions by some running purists that using the walk run method is not "true or real" running and it was ruining the sport of race running etc.
In the end, I had fun doing it, it was a great hobby that I enjoyed for a while, I participated in something with people I didn't know, and learned to do something I hadn't done before...I don't think that is so bad. :)
Reminds me of photography and post processing...same debate different subject. :)
I liken extreme photoshopping in advertising (body manipulation/modification) to running a block, turning a corner and getting in a car then driving to 1 block short of the finish line and getting out and running the last block though. ;)

I always look at these conversations like the vinyl/cd discussion, I am probably more fond of film and in camera settings as it is like vinyl both what I grew up with and now being like some old guy I am nostalgic for the "Good Ole Days" lmaoooo, but vinyl does sound better than the cold sound of CD and knowing how to shoot without PS and keeping it old school because being being old it is pretty hard not too lol . I was looking through the Contact magazine to plan out shows I may check out and I am surprised I am in such a minority, I guess some of us old people just cannot change our ways. :) :clown: I am one who thinks you just do what your comfortable with even if you're wrong and disagree with me, I was wrong once, I had thought I had made a mistake lmaoooo ....
