Dusk Portrait.

Suggestions for improvements always welcome!

Looks like a cool location to capture a very nice portrait. I like the soft light on her face. I'm not sure that 10mm is the most pleasing portrait lens though.

Hi Iguansan, I think you are spot on about the 10mm, it has an odd distortion and is a bit soft. I climbed the hill to take a couple of landscapes and I just liked the way the light was hitting Lorraines face. I plan to do it again as it is a nice location but I will give it a little more consideration to the portrait and less to the landscape.

The light on the face does look good i think you hit the nail on the head, "more consideration to the portrait".
That 10mm is also distorting the model's face. Except for special effects or indoor groups of people where space is limited, I personally rarely use a wide or ultrawide lens for portraiture.

Thanks Marko, I rarely do portraits and have in the past only used the 10-20mm with people for "hilarious" cartoon like effects, in this case it was a mater of what I had with me, I did not really think too much about how it would turn out as I was only messing around. I will definitely try it again with something more sensible on the camera.
I really do appreciate the feedback.
