these are great. I hope to get to the one in Halifax
Thanks Bambi. The Toronto one is so big it is impossible to get pictures along the parade route because of the size of crowds (see attached picture). So I took another tack, hang around just past the end of the parade route as everybody was dispersing. As you can see this appeared to work.
Nice sets. My wife, daughter and my adopted son and they were in the parade with a group called Heterosexuals for Same Sex Equality (HSSE) or as the T-shirts say Straight not Narrow and they had a blast like they do most years.
Cool set. The costumes are always so incredible. I will definitely be at the Halifax one. :)
Thanks A.L. It looked like most people were having a good time and were so open to having their picture taken.
Thanks Iggy. Yes the costumes are amazing. Can't wait to see the Halifax pictures
Nothing like a pride parade for colourful people shots!! Fun images!
My absolute favourite is the first one in set 3. The distorted image in the mirror really reflects how society's gender biases are similarly distorted. At least that's my take on it, but I think it can be taken so many ways. Very profound image.
Thanks Cindi. That picture with the mirror is my favourite shot as well.
Very colourful and well captured - so which is your pic of Rob Ford?
Really nice candids!
Thanks Ed and Marko. Yea, no sign of Rob Ford except the fake ones with masks.
(For those who don't know Rob Ford is the mayor of Torono and instead of doing his mayoral duties and showing up and supporting Pride Week, he went up to his cottage instead)
Great set! It looks like Mardi Gras meets The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Nice set! The costumes are awsome!
Thanks Aub.
