The moment I missed

I went out to shoot the 2012 Halifax Zombie Walk today and this was the moment I missed because I missed focus. :sad:

Thought I share it to let others who've had this experience and felt bad about it that you are not alone....

It would have been a fab shot. Would have worked if hand or face were in focus.

Yes, I have one like this of a Lion at San Diego Zoo jumping against a wire fence, which is very reminiscent of this. The worst think is I thought I nailed it when I looked on the view finder only to discover I had the fence in perfect focus :(

We could start a self-help group :)

Would have been a real winner. - Just claim artistic license :)

Just an afterthought - Have you thought of running a high pass filter over it to make it look like intentional over-processing. As you have indicated that you dont mind others editing your photos I have just done this and added a slight vibrance increase- hope you dont mind.

Haha! Nice... a pretty cool result. I've thought about playing with it in post but, honestly, my post skills aren't good enough and as much as I love the moment the shot just isn't worth saving.

Thanks for sharing this iggy! I agree it had fab potential and I agree that there is no saving this....and I agree that this this still happens to me occasionally.

Shame this one got away, it would have been a cracker... I've had my fair share of these missed focus shots too.
