I am not sure if the completely blown out background works. It is a wood floor with an open door behind her.
These are not "staged" portraits. I just brought my 60D and 70-200 2.8 and speedlite to her birthday.

They are both lovely. They look a little yellow on my monitor but I haven't calibrated it for awhile. The blowing out in pic 1 actually doesn't bother me that much, although it's probably a bit defined. I think I'd have used a higher f/stop value though because her body features in these photos, but is so out of focus her front almost appears pasted on.
I love these AT, but agree there is a bit of a color cast. She sure is a cutie and you have got some nice images
