On the trail again with eight days left to shoot 30 individual companies. Killed off three today. I kind of liked the way the Gary Fong lightsphere handled this shot.

Nice capture! That lightsphere must be wonderful.
It is nice. I have one of his older lightsphears made before he started producing the specialized ones. I've been thinking about a new one. Which do you have?
Lightsphere Cloud I think it's called. I just love the way it disperses the light, I rarely get those nasty flash hot spots :) $79.00 at London Drugs!
Seeing as I can't afford an external flash at the moment, I bought a Fong "Puffer" for my pop up flash and let me tell you that makes all the difference in using flash for me at the moment! It'll be great for mushroom shooting next time I go out into the woods.
All the shots I've taken over the last couple of weeks indoors (the flowers et al on black background) were using that handy little device!
Best $20 I've spent so far on photo gadgets! :highfive:
PS...love the street scene shot too MAW!
I agree - very nice lighting here.
Is there much PP work in this or is it mostly the Fong tool?
Just curious - what does it look like? I've seen many Fong tools over the years but don't have too much experience with them. I mostly bounce or use the white card that hides in the flash.
Thx - Marko
This looks very good! I looked up the cloudsphere on his website. Do you use directly or bounce it? I take quite a few photos of member events at the club and lighting is a pain in the butt. The rooms are huge with 14 foot or more ceilings with skylights so sometimes I can not even bounce off the ceiling. I think I would like to give it a try. :)
