Cool! Very Film Noir-ish!
Very interesting. I love that you have willing models complete with costumes, absolutely wonderful. I know it's not the critique thread but I just wanted to suggest you might want to be a bit more careful about where you crop/frame the shot as you are losing body parts. It's the only real distraction for me.
Thanks for the feedback!
These are fun TT and a good start for old Hollywood.!
In order to emulate even better, you'll have to check the lighting of the masters. Here's one of the masters, George Hurrell - though this is not an official website by the looks of it - still many cool shots and links to other well known Hollywood Photogs. George Hurrell photos and prints
Hope that helps - Marko
Wonderful work TI. They have nice look and feel about them.
Kudos on the lighting for #2 and 3:)
Again great play! :)
thanks gang! i am surprised at how much effort goes into the lighting. i have several books on the subject = not read yet... one of my faves is this one: Amazon.com: Hollywood Portraits (9780817440206): Roger Hicks, Christopher Nisperos: Books... in this book, they offer diagrams on how to achieve the lighting effect of severak classic Hollywood photos.
the session was meant to get my feet wet with the style....it was a blast and very challenging!
