This is where i currently live. Longyearbyen, Svalbard. This old miner barrack has been fixed to house technology and geoscience students specializing in Arctic topics. At 78 degrees north the climate is very harsh, but some times it is really nice with northern lights.

This picture shows a lone barrack alone in the beautiful Arctic wilderness.

This is where I live ... Sidney by the Sea on Vancouver Island.

Wow - Loving seeing all these images!
Here's one that sort of defies the (local aspect of the) theme. It's a pic taken on the Way to Jasper Alberta from a fast pickup...
Even though I'm from Montreal, QC - I consider myself a proud Canadian as well as a proud Quebecer!
So this shot shows that i live in one of the most beautiful countries on the planet, Canada!
I have another local shot that I'll post soon as well.

Here's a local one - Montreal Skyline at night.
What do I hate about this photo? The fact that i forgot my tripod.
What do I like most about it? The fact that I jacked the ISO to 10,000 and I can live with it.
