Actually I like this. The subdued colour palette is soothing. Really nice composition too!
These leading lines would fit this months assignment well.
We have some fantastic sky views in Alberta. Nice photo.:)
I LOVE the comp for this :) Nicely done!
Very nice image, Mike!
Maybe not the most spectacular sunset to you, BUT, it is a spectacular, well done shot!
Love the composition here. Very nice Mbrager
Cool blue colours - some refreshment for the eyes. I like it!!:highfive:
Thanks so much for the comments and compliments. Mike
A little slow but I'll add in my :twocents: and agree with everyone else. Great shot, nice leading lines, great sunset. The colours are very soothing and I love the reflection. Nice work!
Thanks, Ig. Mike
very very well done. :highfive:
I could add a small comment that I think would make this even stronger...
nicely done Mike
Excellent leading lines here Mike. I know this spot well having set down the canoe here several times to paddle into the Weaselhead. :)
My comment was that there's many interesting things to look at here, but the brightness of the sky keeps (my eye at least) focus there longer than need be imo. Basically I'd try to burn in the brightest elements in the sky by 10-30% (some play involved)
Hope that helps - Marko
Thanks Marko. I have been experimenting with dodging and burning and you are right that this image can be played with. All of the shadows can be dodged and all the blown out areas can be burned to some degree with good effect. Appreciate your comments. Mike
