I loved the moss, ferns and lichen along the roadside here.

the green really glows with the cloudy sky
Looks like it's hard work keeping the jungle at bay. Also looks like it took you forever to go 1km. : P
Oh yeh I'm hopeless sometimes WD. When i have a camera with me I can turn a two hr drive into a day trip or a 30 min walk into 2 hours easy peasey!! :)
The second shot. I like the way the road contrasts with the stuff to either side of it.
It's such a cool area. You could stop at a dozen locations in this area and take similar photos.
definetly "bucket list" stuff. And I will make sure I have enough time to go slow ...
You guys would have growths of moss like this around Canada as well wouldn't you Matt ?
Entertaining, vivid colours, nice perspective. The second picture conveys also a sense of humidity, high temperature....Almost a complete sensorial experience....
Thanks Light50 ... it was winter though and quite cool. In the summer though the temps would reach up to the 30c range.
