Hey there!
Beautiful place and beautiful shots! Usually I'm a big fan of blending exposures to keep in the highlights but it's a bit to dark in the second one. maybe something in between the 2 so it looks more natural
cheers
That was natural. Pretty much exactly as I saw it. No amount of aperture or slow shutter would get any light into that dark hole. I think having the brightness from the sea end made it impossible.
Thanks for the comment :)
MA love the shot, the colours in the rocks is great and what a cool place.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing such an interesting natural beauty with your wonderful image! :):thumbup:
that is a cool place. I think having a dark cave adds to the interest. but if the opportunity arose, light painting might be cool
Nice find MA, just shows how powerful the ocean can be.
Thanks all. It is a very cool place amongst a long, rugged coastline.
Light painting might be possible with bright lights. Unfortunately you can't actually walk down there so you are restricted from the boardwalk they've set up.
Very cool shots MA. Really like the exposure on second one as it really shows the detail and depth of the cave.
Thanks Matt and HBG :)
Hello again!
sorry I think you misunderstood my first post ;-) was formulated not precise enough.. what I ment with to dark in the second, referrs to the light at the end of the tunnel, not the tunnel itself which I know is naturally dark. In the first one you clearly have white at the end and in the second I think you layered in a second exp for this part, please correct me if I'm wrong. I just thought this little part is a little dark..
sorry again for confusing. both are great images!
cheers
No need for apologies!
You are right. I did layer in that bit from a darker exposure. What you see there is the ocean through the hole.
I think the glowing whiteness in the first shot actually looks better even though the 2nd shot is actually more true to what I could see that day.
