Laker on the Kam River
I was driving down Edward Street yesterday and at the end of the street I could see a ships bridge towering over the rail yard. The visual kind of surprised me! I can't remember the last time I have seen a ship this far up the Kam river. He was docked at asmall grain elevator that I had thought was closed down for the last several years. The first pic gives a bit of a view of the location on the river. He is aready turned and facing downstream in this one. Given the size of the ship I am not sure how he got turned around even with tugs helping out.

nice find.
I worked on an island in a river that was very narrow, but had oil tankers in it and other huge freighters. the tugs would spin the ships on their axis to get them turned. One one the port side and one on the starboard. a very delicate operation that I'm sure took a lot of skill and practice. given the narrowness of the channel it was a precise move for sure.

Nice capture Aub. Very strange to see a ship at the end of Edward St.

While a little more common here in Halifax, maybe, it's still strange to see floating "office buildings" drift past the bottom of the street.

Thanks WD and XP.
Thats quite a view you posted there Iggy. From the looks of it I'd have to say yours is bigger than mine!:)
