Found these Lady Slippers in Smileys Provincial Park here in Nova Scotia.

Yes the Showy is quite tall, but the flower portion is about one third smaller than the Yellow version.

Wow! I have only ever seen these once in the wild and you pick them up in pairs! nice!

Thanks. I probably shouldn't show you the wide shot I took or you'll have a heart attack. In this small bit of woods there was something like a hundred flowers in groups of 5, 10, and 20. :)
