A couple wee ones
Whenever I'm in the woods, I get acclimated to noticing details. It doesn't happen instantly, but after a bit, little things leap forward and get my attention. Here are two -

Both shot with the legacy OM 90mm f2 macro at about f8, which seems to be in its sweet-spot.

I know what you mean. I'm often in the forest with people who need to learn not just to look ... but to see. There's a difference.
I love little mushy's like these.
-
nicely spotted and captured, really like the DOF, and the angle on the second shot is great.
-
Thanks guys...I'm a master at tripod contortions!
and you're right, Steve, a lot of people look and never see. My friend Melissa has amazing vision, her photos are always out of the ordinary and I love going into the woods with her. Sometimes we notice the same things, sometimes different - like having an extra pair of eyes.

Cool shots, WickedD. The "motion" of the grasses almost gives them an underwater look.
-
These are both just beautiful WD. Perfect dof that makes the subject stand out so well.
-
thanks guys. I love moss and mushrooms so it was irresistible.
-
Love these two WD. Thinking exactly the same as JAS, they have an underwater look to them,
-
I too thought that it looked like they were underwater. :) these are stunners
-
thanks...that hadn't occurred to me, but I see it now.
-
Cool set WD - I favour shot 2 here but dig them both.
-
Nice. Really like the 2nd one, the grass gives it a lot of life.
I can relate to the looking closer. I was on a trail the other day and a couple of great looking moss covered logs got my attention, some folks coming the other way asked me what I was looking at. Told them a bear, they got more attentive pretty quick. 30 minutes later I had four bears hanging out on the trail I had to return on and kept me waiting for a while before I could get on to the truck, karma got me good!
