That first image is superb. Nicely composed and executed. I love the horizontal lines of the rock face bisecting the vertical waterfall lines.
Lovely light in shot 1 as well!
Lovely shots asnow.
Cool images. The person in shot 1 gives a fantastic sense of scale.
Thanks everybody. These were taken with my new Canon 10-22 lens I just purchased (love that lens). Would never have been able to have fit that first picture in with the kit lens.
Marko - It is interesting you say you like the light in shot 1. It was a bright sunny day (not a cloud in the sky) that with the high dynamic range I wasn't sure I could even save this image. Worked it Lightroom and this is what I came up with. Thought later that I should maybe have tried multiple images and HDR.
AntZ - It's funny - when I took the picture I was ticked that the person at the top of the falls was there and wouldn't move. But in hindsight as you say it does give you a sense of scale.
Lovely captures Asnow, you really did them justice. Have seen most of these myself, and I know how hard they are to get a decent angle, and no people in them. Nice to see the person to show the height though. Lovely sharp lens you picked up. Good choice.
Thanks HBG. I chose this lens first as it allows me to get shots that I just can't capture with my kit lens. Later I can upgrade my zoom to probably the 70-300. For now I can get still get those shots with my 55-250, just won't be as sharp.
