Twin Lights

I took this a while ago at a car show but just got around to some post work.

Oooh, shiny! I like the contrast between the detail on the headlight glass and the softer reflections. How would this look as a square crop?

I like the processing on this ... Corvette? ... 59??

Thanks for all of the nice comments. I took this at a show just for Corvettes, but I am not sure of the year. I tried taking photos at a few car shows this year and have found it to be challangeing. One of the unexpected problems was the reflections from a car next to car I was photographing would produce undesireable colors and reflections in the photo. Backgrounds also tend to be quite busy at a car show, and while usually taking place during the day under full summer sunlight using a wide open aperture is not an option. Below is a tighter crop I didn't have enough picture to do a square crop but a 4x3 worked.

Not seeing yourself in the paintwork and chrome can be an issue also at times. I think this 4x3 looks good ... the bitumen and yellow lines weren't adding to the shot anyhow.

I agree on the crop, and I know what you mean about the bright sunlight and reflections. I've found a CPL can help both. I like to turn it to see how the finish looks with varying amounts of reflections. Does tend to vary the color a bit, though.

Nice shot and nicely processed. I prefer the square crop as well.
