The pink really stands out nice!
Beautiful colours Q1. The roses almost look transparent!
Beautiful QO, especially with all the grey days along with snow here.
Lovely DOF - it stands out nicely from the background. To me there seems to be a fair bit of empty space at the top and wonder if a different crop may work.
Thanks, everyone. Runmonty, shaving a little off seems to work, but I didn't care for the 8x10 crop, and taking a closer crop to the rose left out some of the lovely background colors. See what you think.

I do prefer the 2nd one, and feel you could crop even more you wanted to and still retain the effect of that lovely creamy background. But hey, I understand the effect you are looking for and it has to be your artistic judgement and I wouldnt suggest you listen too much to my ramblings.
Although q.o. Does not have the critique my images in any thread checked off, since comments about composition have been brought up I'll add 2 cents as well in that unfortunately this comp does not work for me here either.
the colour is rocking my shizzle (whatever that means) bokeh is working here as well..... but the comp is off for me. Those cropped buds on the left and empty space up top are taking away from this image IMO.
Well, maybe I'll fiddle with it at another time. I'm not entirely sure what to do with it. As for the "critique" part - I go back and forth on the idea of changing the setting. I don't mind hearing about relatively easy things to try. But I'm not at a point where I can sit down and really work an image over. Also, I'm sometimes a bit of an odd beast. When I get tired, sometimes I take things in ways they weren't meant. So, it's more critique gently, because people stuff is very, very hard work for me - always has been. And on occasion, tell me something I got right. :)
