    thank you guys for the comments and feedback.
    I was fascinated by the ships and fun with different perspectives on them:

    Very nice additions here, Bambi. My absolute favorite is the prow. Love the leading lines and the perspective. Great eye, Bambi.

    Default Cozumel

    Thanks Matt

    our first stop was Cozumel. This is jewel of an island off of Mexico. it only has one community and if it wasn't for tourism it probably would be just a small fishing village. Rather than go on a bus tour I booked a private taxi to take us around the island. Best $90 I spent. It was fabulous. Half of the island has no electricity. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

    What a great set Bambi. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. It looks like you had a fun time. They are all so good it's hard to pick favourites. I think the ones that stand out for me are;

    - Freedom tower, the door, and the terminal one in the first post

    - last pic in post #8 - like the perspective where it makes the large passenger ship look small compared to the cargo ship.

    - the crashing wave in Cozumel in post #14

    thanks Snow!
    I hope people aren't getting bored but hey, it's my thread

    On Cozumel there are Mayan ruins. The one in the Centre is dedicated to the Goddess Ix Chel. Mayan women would travel here if they were having trouble conceiving. We were able to get there ahead of the tour buses so had it largely to ourselves for a few hours. Once the tour buses arrived we left.

    this is well. They are all interconnected underground across the whole island. In times of drought a sacrifice was given (virgin female of course).

    after we left our tour guide 'Alberto' teased me that I was going to go home pregnant now. I told him that it would require divine intervention! But if it did happen then it would be a boy and I would name him 'Alberto' because if that didn't get our home town talking nothing would!

    These are great, Bambi! I love the Valley of Ships. And I'm a big Latin American history geek, so I really like those Mayan ruins.
