Ooh - I like this. Looking up at the foreground trees with the diagonal line makes this for me.

LOVE this stuff...I'm still attempting to capture comet Panstarrs, but between weather and busy schedules.....no luck yet. I love the composition of your shot. Almost makes me dizzy! :)

For those who want to try this, yes, you need total darkness. I've done this at home. Even if I live at the edge to the metro area, the orange glow of the city is always there after a long exposure.
If you are interested in the exposure details, this was ISO 200, f/5 on a 10 mm wide angle lens. This particular shot was done at the BC interior; specifically Shuswap lake about 150 Km away from Kamloops which is the biggest population around. Very peaceful place.
