Dark Sky
WOw...it has been so long since I've posted here! During a relaxing long weekend visiting the grand-daughter (and her parents) I was able to get away after all were in bed. I'm really glad that I went out as I was rewarding with a beautiful light show...

And after a couple hours of aurora, i simply turned around and grabbed the other side of the sky...

Love the whole set Randitola. Have to say I really like that Milky Way capture though.

I'm with HBG! Love the Milky Way but all three are amazing. :)

A superb series of night images.

I have to agree the entire set is awesome, my favorite is the first image.

Thanks all for the great comments. You are very encouraging and motivational!

Makes me want to get out soon under really dark and/or aurora - filled skies. Lovely image of the Milky way and it's Great Rift. Altair seems so bright I thought for a second I was looking at a planet. I do wish a bit more tree branches could have been included only because a novice skywatcher might get the impression that these are the tops of trees and that the image is presented sideways. Nice series!
