As B&W... I think I can go either way on these.

Another vote for #2 and also the HDR is a little harsh for my liking on a scene such as this, BUT, in art, it is in the eye of the creator, first and foremost, on what they want to portray. If you were trying a little bit of a heavy hand at hdr I would say you executed this shot VERY well.
