They're all nice shots, but the second one is what Porta is all about. Of course, you played a hand in the results and they are splendid.
Yes, the second shot was instantly my favorite. It's near impossible to reproduce the Portra color palette in software. Thanks.Quote:

Thanks RM. No, these are lab processed, since Portra is a C41 process film. Although I scanned and converted the negatives myself. In Calgary, a company called London Drugs has maintained developing services for C41 process film, but stopped developing standard process films like most black and white films. But recently they restarted offering standard developing and have increased their stock of black and white films. I think that attests to a renewed interest in shooting film. It is quite feasible to buy the chemistry for C41 processes for home use but it's a little more complicated than standard and since it's available commercially I never bothered.
