I have to sheeplishly admit that glossed over that 2nd shot without really looking at it. I looked, but didn't see. It's actually a very good composition and the perspective really shows the height as well. It IS a good shot :)

thanks everyone! Marko feel free to take a swing at it. Just let me know what you did :)
I played with it and then decided that I was unable to view it objectively anymore
Thanks MA for the compliment. Apparrently you and my dog are loving the snow.
right after I took the second picture the wind gusted and I got buried in a pile of snow coming off the trees.
thanks Foots. Toronto can be bitter in the winter. The ravines might be nice though.
Totally loving #2 as well! Nice stuff B!
thanks Casil!
This took me about 3 minutes in Bridge just to show a fast edit. I deliberately used techniques that you would be able to do from any graphics program. To bring this photo to a level I'd be happy with would likely take me an additional 10-15 min. The tricky parts of this image involve getting the contrast just right without blowing out the snow.
I increased the contrast, I decreased the green cast and dodged (lightened) the tree a bit. (I had to shrink the image a bit to upload here so it won't look identical). Hope that helps - Marko
Now if you can just straighten the stream :D Great pp marko, I like the end product. I also like the original a lot:)
thanks Marko!! I will copy yours and then use it for a model :)
thanks MAW!
