seriously MAW you are killing me with all this beauty!!!! :headslap:
The first one is my favourite, wonderful light you captured.
Love the lighting of the 2nd pic
I used to have a friend in Germany (in Bavaria to be precise) who used to plant these so they would bloom each spring. She planted them in the lawn ... not in gardens! Then she'd happilly mow around them because they made her happy. Weird ... but cool! :)
The backlighting in shot 2 and sidelighting in shot 3 is very nice!
That must have been a while back...Monsanto now makes a fertilizer called "Crocus Up" Using this the plants can repel lawnmower blades!
Is it common for Crocus' to be planted in lawn instead of garden beds?
"I'm an engineer Jim...Not a botanist!"
"Shut up and give me warp speed on something other than your mouth!"
Is that a direct order mine fuhrer?
"Oh ... VERY funny Scotty!!! Now beam down my clothes as well thanks!!!"
 In answer to your question MA... No, Our lawns are flower free! no Dandelions, daises or any other flower is allowed to mingle on the lawn. It must be a solid sheet of green from end to end. We're organized in that way, flowers know their place! :)
:) It's the same here too ... although a few weeds tend to get in due to the dry spells that last ... oh ... years!
No Dandes on the lawn, no germs in the bathroom, no stains on the carpet, no spots on the shiny black car!...We're nuts I tell ya!:D
thank Heavens you beamed MA his clothes MAW now I can peek. :p
Here they do plant the crocuses (seems like it should be croci ) on the lawn. by the time you need to mow they are usually finished. I love seeing a lawn flower scattered through it. Hubby has other ideas but we move out the country there will be no more trying to keep everything but grass out of the lawn!
