Morning ramble

Went back to the same conservation area for a look at the water levels after a few days of heavy, steady rain and warm temps. This marsh is very, very high and it was so beautiful I had to stop and take some shots. The morning light was crisp and I could almost smell spring on the way.

Looks like a swamp. Isn't that going to stink soon?

I don't think so...it's more of a marsh...the water movement is fairly swift and drains well. I don't remember it ever smelling bad.
