Fun stuff. I've only done a couple selective colouring images but I really like the look of them when they're finished. It can be fun like these or it can make a heck of a statement. For instance, I found out after watching Shindler's List (done in B&W) that there was a little girl in a red coat. Apparently, it didn't stand out enough because I missed it! :headslap: However, if you were paying attention and saw it, I can only imagine how poignant it must have been.
Thanks Iguanasan,
I've not seen Shindler's List in years, I will have to add it to my rental list.
I quite like this play Richard - Nice.
Shindler's list is a difficult film to watch, but it's excellent and well shot for sure.
Cool stuff, Richard! Nicely done. I remember the red coat and yes it really drove the point home. Very poignant scene. Probably one of the first best uses of selective coloring I can think of. Well ok, if you want to really go back, before color film was widely available the B&W prints were often hand painted in whole or in part. Many of those were quite beautiful and I think the technique is still used to this day although a rarity in the digital age.
Thanks Marko and JAS,
Itmust have been a mammoth job colouring films frame by frame, with out a computer to assist...
I'm looking forward to the next months challenge, hopefully it will inspire me to try something new...
Nothing to apologize for ... I like these. The 1st is very cool ... B&W versus colour in a cool way.
Thanks MA, It's the last day of this project for me today, I have one elusive shot to get...
They want to show our computer technology, solid modelling, programming etc, with out doing the classic over the shoulder person sitting at a computer....
