Stinkin' Flowers
Went for a walk in the bush Friday and the Trilliums are up.
Actually this one is called Stinking Benjamin. Smaller, brilliantly coloured flower that is part of the Trillium family that actually has a strong foul odour to it. (All Trilliums smell a little bad, but this one is quite rank)

Regualr White Trillium. This pic is quite a bit softer, but I really thought it worked for this shot?

Sooo, if I want it as part of a bouquet, I should cut out your picture and stick it in the vase? A shame, it's pretty.

Wow...these are awesome...I've always loved trilliums. :)

Nice, love the detail and colour on the first one.

I have never seen a red trillium before - quite a vibrant colour. Good shots. Do you grow them in your garden? I have tried, but with little success.

Never heard of Trilliums. Interesting info to go with very nice shots.

Thanks everyone for the kind words on the shots, and yes they are a beauty that doesn't last long enough.
Foots-yes I do have some growing in my "woodland garden", but just the pale mauve and whites.
MA- The Trillium is actually our Provincial Flower for Ontario.
Our bush is actually just starting to bloom in about a 1.5-2 acre area with these beauties. Once it gets fully carpeted I will get a couple shots. It is amazing to go for a walk when it is like this.
