The colour is very nice and I like the idea of sun and shade. The only problem, if you don't mind me saying, is that the sunlight seems very harsh. I wonder, since it's in your front yard, if a morning or evening shot might be more flattering?
I quite like the patterns and colour of the first shot Ed...nicely done. :)
