Wow! What happened to them? They still look kinda cool. Nice and sharp, that's for sure.
I think we had a couple of sudden hot days about that time, then went back to really cool and wet in between. The tulips were all coming to the end of their bloom cycle anyway, and would have lost their petals soon.
