Default Apologies - Admin's/Guest's pick of the month - Change

    Hi members,

I feel like a lazy bum for posting this but wanted members to be aware of the change. This month it took me over 4 hours to look at all the threads and posts to choose the image of the month. That's half a day's work...As more members join and post images, the time it takes to look at all the posts will increase. It's for this reason that it usually takes me a full week or more to post my choice.

Sooooo starting next month, I (or a guest) will choose their favourite image from only one forum, the Member's monthly choice forum. This makes sense to me as these are the 'better' images on the forum anyway (because they are nominated by other members) so the chance is high that I would have chosen the image from there. It's already happened this way quite a few times. Plus, I think it would be fun to get a guest to choose the image once in a while and I could never ask a guest to sift through hundreds and hundreds of posts.

So I hope everyone is okay with this. On the plus side, I'll be able to post my choice within a day or two of any new month.

....as always feel free to comment please.

    Thanks everyone - Marko

Is it then worth considering changing the member vote to a selection of 5 from the assignment? Just a thought. That might allow for different images to "Win". Maybe a fantastic image from the assignment might still be Admin and Members choice "Winner".

I guess I'm a little slow. I thought that's what was going on anyway so I'm quite happy to continue I'm sorry to hear it took you 4 hours! Wow! Dedication or what? Thanks.

    Good idea.
