    Default Butterfly

    Found this fellow in our Public Gardens yesterday during a lunch outing. Took a bunch of shots as he flitted here and there thankfully not going too far and I think this was my favourite.

    The other side of the wings was quite colourful but it just wouldn't sit with it's wings open. It would flutter about, land, and then sit there like that for a bit. Then flutter about again and land with wings folded up again.

    It's looking well traveled, given the way the wings are tattered. Great closeup, even if it was uncooperative.

    Not sure if it's tattered or if it's just supposed to look like that. I think it camouflages as a leaf.
