Are your toads poisonous like ours?? Our most common toad is the Hawaiian Cane Toad which was intro'd to control cane beetles. Worked ok but there's nothing here that controls the toads

looks like a little bufo bufo. totally harmless. unless you're a grasshopper or earthworm that is. they have the most beautiful golden eyes. glad you didn't squoosh it.
