    Default Ermine

This was a tough one with the colour against the white snow, and trying to get this tiny little one to stand still to get a decent capture. He was darting about trying to get at the birds in the nets at the banding station today. Was actually running about our feet at one point. Hard shot at 700mm. (I guess this would have worked for the Dec. assignment of "White" also).

Good sharp focus, and nice bokeh! Cute little critter too.

It is absolutely stunning to see what kind of wildlife roams about your neighborhood. Those Ermines are hard to find, usually ... and you did a great job on the white on white .. well done.

As has been said before me, really nice job on the sharp focus (those whiskers are great) and the exposure is handled very well.

Good job capturing him. Those eyes look like the black pits of doom. Makes for an interesting contrast.

What a cute looking guy. Nicely done is separating the white Ermine against the white background.

Thanks to all. Was def. a challenge as he buzzed around like a fly in a pop bottle. As you can see by the little blood on its neck, that the hunt was a success. The green cast on the rear is actually green stain from the grass around hole it was darting in/out of.
