    I saw this waspy thing eating a fly on the deck railing today so I went and grabbed a camera and threw the macro on, got one shot off and he flew away. Just wish I'd been at f8 instead of 3.5

    For a handheld macro shot I think you did very well. Can you provide more lens & camera settings if you know them? I am very interested in macro but can't seem to get it right.

    Great shot for a quick capture. The detail looks good to me and the depth of field works as well. Well done.

    Nikon D7100, nikon 105mm macro lens @ f3.5, 1/1000 sec, ISO 100.

    Nice capture, especially considering the circumstances. Sure f8 would have been nice, but then adjust shutter/aperture/ISO, and then, would it still be there??????
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
