    Default Eastern Bluebirds

2 years ago I decided I was going to make a bluebird box and see what happens. My wife told me it was a waste of time because we never see bluebirds in our area. Well, sure enough that spring we had bluebirds that moved in and they ended up having 2 successful broods. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing their progression, especially as the parents would bring the fledglings to the feeder. I was disappointed last year when we didn't have any bluebirds that took up residency in the boxes. Well, this year I was thrilled when they returned! The chicks just fledged a couple of days ago and the adults have taken them into the wooded area for a few weeks.
I thought I would share a few of my favorite pics from the years so far.
    All taken with the Canon 6D + 400mm F/5.6L

Great set! They are so pretty! Photo 3, I think he is saying, "Hey Human! Look at me on this red gerbera! Is this an awesome pose or what! Did you get me on the red poppy earlier?"

How do you pick a favourite out of those beauties? I simply can't. I do love the rain you've caught in the first shot though... seems to really add an element of 'wild' to the shot. Great focus in all.
