These are great Iggy. You have really nailed that inverted lens technique.

    Number 2 is my favourtite

Out of interest, do you use a reversing ring or handhold the lens?

I'm betting on reversing ring - nice set Iggy!
    Shot 1 for me please.
(Shot 4 also fab but too dark in the face - I'd dodge the shadow details on the whole left side by a good 25%+ ....taking care of course not to dodge any of the highlights except perhaps the specular highlight on the bee's face) Hope that may help.

    Sorry for the slow reply...

    First off, thanks!

I have hand-held many of my makeshift macros but I have a reversing ring on my 50mm now that I simply leave there so I can just flip it around when I want to change up my perspective.

Also, thanks for the feedback, Marko. I expect you are talking about the dragonfly though? That's shot #4. And, yes, for detail, exposure, etc. #1 is my fav as well. For content, I really like Mr. Dragonfly and the way the sun is reflecting off of his compound eye.

You are definitely a master of the reverse lens macro.
