    Default Elusive Rat

I heard a rustle in the bush so I crouched down, aimed the camera, got my exposure together just in case...Out of the underbrush came Ratty! This was the only shot I got as he missiled out of there as soon as he saw the camera

I remember now why I posted this At the time I thought it strange I should come across a rat way out there in the woods. He was clean and healthy looking and behaved like a giant mouse. So yes it was the oddity of the moment that brought me to post this rather than the image itself.

very very cute! you definitely win the award for patience and it paid off too!

I used to have a pet rat. I would scratch on the table and he would come running, climb my sleeve and sit on my shoulder. died of a respitory infection :cry-an:

also in University, I had one job where I had to get the new rats used to being handled so that the Psych 2000 students didn't get bitten.

    but I digress...
I love the picture. much cuter then nasty squirrels

IMO...this should be in the scary October thread....
Not a big fan of the rat...I'll take a muskrat over that thing anyday!
Good capture tho' MAW, even if it is a rat!
