Default Another Tiny Visitor From The North

These have to be one of my hardest captures yet. They are the elusive snow Buntings. They sit, by the hundreds on the side of the roads in winter and feed. When anything even remotely comes near them they fly away. These shots were from approx. 80 yards away, and they are about the size of a sparrow.

This one was even tougher.Tiny white bird against white backgound, on the fly.

very nice! I like the first one with the car in the background. It really helps us get a sense of the environment. We have birds that do that here but they are not snow buntings. They are sparrow sized and gray.

Really nice shooting considering you were that far away and using your new 500mm lens ... handheld!!

Yes, I like the first one the most also Bambi. If you can get a shot of those birds, they are probably Junco's, or if they have a little colouring on them, they may even be Horned Larks, which is the only "true" lark in North America.
Definitely liking the new lens, but as you say MA, lots of fun handholding in 25 km/hr cold wind, and trying to keep up with these little beggars.
Thanks again for the nice compliments.
