They look formidable up close don't they. This was using my 105mm micro/macro lens on the D90 at f36. Not as totally sharp as I had hoped but Maxi would never sit still long enough for a focus stack

If you're a bug or only 1 inch high peeking from your hide out and you see shot 1...Stay put! When you see shot two, run like mad to the fridge or wherever your destined to go. Though your chances of arrival are improved in shot two, you have to keep in mind you're dealing with a sleeping cat yes. but...The ears never sleep!
