Jelly bellies

This is a discussion on Jelly bellies within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I was goofing around with some photos of Jelly bellies this afternoon...figuring out the settings, the tripod, light and DOF ...

    Default Jelly bellies

I was goofing around with some photos of Jelly bellies this afternoon...figuring out the settings, the tripod, light and DOF mostly. I borrowed the idea from a friend of mine. These seem to have turned out the best...

fun subject to photo! i dont know if i could stop myself from eating them before i shot them! i know this is the 'show' and not 'crit' thread, so ignore me if this is too picky... i'd like to see a combo of all three - the tack sharpness of #1, the shadows of #2, and the line of focus of #3 (by that i mean, the way my eye is 1st attracted to the front bean, then walks down the line of them - i like that!) the colors are awesome... they really pop off that background! i wonder if you can try to eliminate the seam in the backdrop? by changing your angle? anyways, i hope this doesnt come off the wrong way! just my 2cents!

    Thanks Kiley, I don't mind
I agree and it was kinda fun! I've managed to eat a ton of them now...big time sugar rush over here...lol but I've kept my "model" jelly bellies off in a separate container for a re-shoot another day. Hopefully I won't give into tempation!
Spent a lot of time trying to get the light right and I used a folded piece of paper as a background...where does one get good background ideas?
