Some cool cars and great sense of speed in those shots.
Thanks AntZ. I was hoping I could blurr the backgound enough to give that sense of speed. I also remember somebody saying that you want a fast enough speed to get the car sharp but slow enough to get a blurr in the tires. I think I generally accomplished this at 1/100 to 1/125 sec. I think it took me about 30 to 40 pictures before I finally got the panning motion down before I could get the cars sharp.
These are freking pantastic!
A very nice set. They made a big mistake though... 53 should have been on a Volkswagon Beetle not a Jag. ;)
Thanks Barefoot, Iggy.
Iggy - I'd don't understand why you said 53 should have been on a Beetle. What is the mistake???
WOW, these are awesome Asnow. Love seeing these classics being used for what many of them were made for. Just, would almost cry if some got into a wreck.
Thanks HBG. Panning cars is a lot easier than birds. At least cars go in predictable track and are a lot bigger to lock your focus onto. Saw no wrecks (thank goodness), mind you I was only there for about 3 hours.
