I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this - people who have been over to the house have laughed, and it's gottne a lot of comments on Mike's Facebook page. There's been a feeling of "Christmas Crunch" for just about everyone, it seems.

The real jaw-dropper? I found the telescope in a thrift store for $35. It's got the electronics that allow you to look for particular stars once it knows where a key star is, has extra eye pieces, even has the manual. I don't know much about using these, but I knew I either needed to buy it right then and there, or it would be gone the next time I went to the thrift store.
