Default Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama.

As soon as the work season wound down, I made a bee line to Birmingham to visit the old Sloss Furnace once more. The place is like a magnet to me, maybe because I walk into plants everyday for a living and this is just like walking into one a hundred years ago.

Another great image, BF. You could definitely have an outstanding gallery show with these kinds of photos and the processing that you use and the subject matter that few of us get see in person. You have shown us quite a collection already.

I really 'preciate the encouragement, fellows. Here's another taken from the ground floor almost directly underneath the shot from above.

I googled, because I wasn't sure what a sloss furnace was. Looks like an interesting place. Nice views here. It looks like the site is in pretty good condition.

Rather than start a new thread, why don't I just put the ones I come across worth showing out of all the mess I came back here with when I find it?
