Touching up the detail on the Kittyhawk, just before the Reno Air Races. Nose art was done by individuals, and variations abound. When the museum decided to have this paint scheme, they had the original artist add gums for the teeth to be set in, something no one else was doing. They also decided it needed blue eyes. (The person doing the touch-up is not the original painter)
